THE DOERRE ORCHESTRA
Our family has been blessed with three children and they all love music. Our oldest daughter joined the Doerre Orchestra in 2007, then our son in 2010 and now, our youngest child is following in her older siblings' footsteps. We are proud to be members of the Doerre Orchestra because it's a fantastic experience - the teachers' dedication and love for their work are in every detail: in providing great instruction during classes, in selecting music that will challenge the kids and will also display their newly acquired skills, in organizing concerts throughout the school year and in making sure the kids look and feel professional on every performance. We always look forward to going to the school concerts, it is a real treat every time we see them play.

The Doerre Orchestra teachers emphasize a strong work ethic, mutual respect, and a high standard of excellence. While your child is in the program- you don't often appreciate how much your student is learning just outside of music skills. As a family of no previous music talent, we were pleased to see our youngest son involved in the Doerre Orchestra, thanks to the school's introductory fifth grade string program. His initial enthusiasm for classical music and his eagerness to improve have not only grown but also deepened with the excellent Orchestra Program at Doerre. In addition to becoming an outstanding musician, the program has also taught him life skills such as responsibility, discipline, teamwork, perseverance, and appreciation for the arts. In the crucial years of middle school, he has found a safe place, a second family, where he belongs, makes friends, has fun, and learns to create beautiful music. No wonder it is one of his favorite classes to which he looks forward to every single day.
